The Formations of the Treaties: Treaty of the Ears

As the war between elf and orcs worsened, the elves feared dying of starvation if they put enough bodies on the front lines. The halflings feared that if the elves fell, they would be next in the orcs expansion plans. The two races combined into one nation with the “Treaty of the Ears” in the year BY+1300. This treaty requires the halflings to provide mainly food but also a few warriors.
