Sangovy Province
In nights long past, the misty verdant reaches of the briars of Pyrennia were an unorganized territory ruled by horrible vampire blood lords. The helpless peasants of the land would cower and die under the boot and between the fangs of their evil overseers. That is, until a little over 150 years ago the peasants united, and in spectacular fashion, took up arms against the vampires. The war between them was bloody and disastrous, after an entire generation was lost in battle both sides agreed to peace.
The Sangovy Accords were as follow:
1. A council of Humans will run the administration of the region.
2. The Blood Lords will renounce all titles of significance and seclude themselves in a recognized vampire hold, of which no violence from humans may occur.
3. Each settlement over 1,000 in population must have one, and only one Vampire delegate.
4. Vampires may not feed on, or otherwise harm an innocent human.
5. Humans must provide the Vampires with a steady source of blood, either by ritualistic sacrifice, livestock, game, or prisoners.
Today the Accords hold strong, and peace between Human and Vampire have been maintained, though ever since joining the Pact of the Fist, the human alliance, relations have begun to sour, as vampires get nervous about the increasing power of humanity against the slowly declining influence of the vampires.
Foreign Relations
The Kingdom of Mansguard
Tense cooperation with frequent political squabbles. They support the status quo in Mansguard regarding threats such as The Mist and the Dwarves, and try to act as a stable influence in wild Mansguard. Jaegertal
Consider the Dwarves a threat to humanity, but due to distance and lack of contact the threat is not taken seriously. Makes decent money selling food to the Dwarves, who have a serious lack of agriculterural capability. The Confederacy
Constant warfare and total disdain. Any goblinoid found in Sangovy is killed on sight, and much of the military capacity of the region is spent battling them. The Free State of Lentaine
Not much official interest or influence, however the wide open expanses of The Spit have become romanticised in the thick forests and swamps of The Briar. The Kingdom of Yari
Close cooperation. Yari is considered a brother of Sangovy, and an honorable stalwart against the horrors of the Dark Sea. The Maritime Republic of Tempesta
Deeply Interconnected economic dependance. Tempestan trade companies essentially run Sangovian ports, and much of the goods imported into Sangovy are made in Tempesta.
