Ensland (En-sl-and)

City Entrance

  • A column of polished agate, placed to honor Ephion, the goddess of Autumn and Harvest.

Brightcoin Borough

  • Ruined stone walls that are blackened from recent attacks from the Feydark faction. The area was a war zone between the two factions for three nights in a row.
  • Meleia's Clocks: A neglected clockmaker's workshop, filled with swinging pendulums and interlocking gears. Meleia hasn’t had much business ever since Abel’s Feydark sorcerers appeared. People have been less inclined to step foot in this part of the city.
  • The Rune and Sword: An elegant commoner's tavern, built within an ancient tower of rune-carved stone. The owner, Cope, has been having the same issues with a lack of customers as other businesses have in this part of town. He’s even put protective wars on the outside of the building, just in case.
  • The Guildhall: A three story stone-walled building, decorated with a tile roof. It contains a large meeting hall and several smaller rooms, and is shared amongst several local trade guilds. Trade Guild Head: Lampoli.

East Tower District

  • The Shrine of Ythos, God of Beasts, Hunting, and Archery: A stone niche enshrining the holy symbol of Ythos. Surrounding the nich is a ring of recently broken columns.
  • Moonweather Tower: Previously owned by a Fae Emblematic scholar named Moonweather Tallyhat, who chose to physically age and pass on to the next life. The tower is protected by swirling inscriptions of runes that have been carved into its black stone outside. Each rune glows a bright blue.

Moor Farthing

  • The Red Hammer: A comforting dwarven tavern, built partially underground in a cave system that runs underneath the city.
  • Owner: Agos, Male Dwarf. Agos is a dwarf who has been living in the Autumn Fae Court for the past 350 years. He has a curly black beard with bushy brows and black eyes. Agos came to the Fae Courts after becoming friends with several of the trade guild owners many centuries ago, when he was just a “wee lad.”
  • Menu:
  1. Meat Pie and Ale
  2. Apple Tart and Beer
  3. Boar Stew and Rum
  4. Beef Hot Pot

Demographics

Approximately 6600; mostly Fae of different seasonal ancestry.

Government

Two factions fight for control of the city, a band of local warriors and legislators, against several powerful sorcerers and rogues from the Feydark--who were sent by the God of War, Ojordaal, to spread chaos.   Currently, the city feels very tense, but the Enslanian warriors have done their best to keep the Feydark sorcerers from invading. Those from the Feydark stay in a war camp just outside of Ensland. Their faerie lights can be seen through the night’s darkness.

Guilds and Factions

LOCAL (ENSLAND) FACTION HEADS:

  • Xene: Female Autumn Fae, she/her. Xene has a square face, with cropped auburn hair and orange eyes. Around her waist is a belt full of vials and healing potions. She is known for her luck and quick wit.
  • Enos: Male Autumn Fae, he/him. Enos has curly red hair and shining green eyes with a circlet of grapes around his head. He wears multiple layers of green and brown robes and carries a hunting knife at his side. Enos is friendly and brave.

FEYDARK FACTION HEAD:

  • Abel: a Celestial Fae with largely Night Court ancestry. His skin glows pale as a ghost beneath the moonlight, and he has dyed purple hair spiked outwards around pointed horns. His irises are white against black sclera. He carries a quarterstaff made of obsidian.
