The Dire Dragon served some of the best food and strangest named food for travelers who come to Mossley, in small letters under the menu it does clarify no actual creatures were used to make the dishes at the restaurant though in small enough letters most people didn't see it. The Merchants Guild knew it wasn't and the council, so they kept out of it and just laughed when tourists complained. The sign outside also had small letters on it that explained it as well. It became a source of joy for the locals and tourists alike, it brought some fear at first that actual creatures were used. By the end though, everyone was laughing and smiling. People enjoyed the sometimes not so subtle shade thrown at the capitols outrageous prices. The Dire Dragon was also a refuge for people who didn't haven the money for food or needed somewhere to rest with the inn attached to the restaurant.

The special of The Dire Dragon is Dragon Eggs and Dragon Steak a favorite by travelers and locals alike.

The chef and owner of The Dire Dragon enjoyed making elegant looking dishes that weren't going to cost the patrons an arm and leg. He made sure the dishes were made so the could sell them at a decent price and made sure they were filling. He had grown up in the capitol in poverty, his parents couldn't afford to feed him and his siblings usually or themselves unless they wanted ale and then there was always coin. Once he was twelve years old, he got a job at a restaurant in the capitol. The chef was very kind and would send him home with food. When he turned and had saved enough coin, he moved away from the capitol and opened The Dire Dragon and made a vow no one would go away hungry. With this motto, there were long running tabs sometimes. Once the restaurant grew in popularity though he had more then enough to not care if they didn't get paid and sometimes other patrons would pay them off after they came back with coin as a gift for when he helped them or someone they knew.
