Y4 D37 & 38

General Summary

A Growing Town and The Cave Showdown Cold weather, the double-full moon and a mysterious starfall threatened to disturb our heroes' peace and tranquility...such as they could find, anyway. Our fair Sage's Hollow is introduced to three new members! Ren works to gather materials and learn farming techniques, Merios studies the town tablets, practices alchemy and makes some breakthroughs in both, and Seth teams up with returning member Austin to track some deer! Meanwhile, Tanaros, after introducing the newcomers to their new home, plants some seeds and continues adding to his repertoire of authored books, looking to the night skies to observe a rather unique phenomenon...he also trains the town chicken! Austin, after returning from tracking the herd, tends to Ren, who took a particularly bad hit to the head due to a rogue rockslide, and heals his fellow faction member with pluck and gusto! Meanwhile, far to the east, our adventuring team quests to a rather suspicious cave...but first, detours! While Alger takes Varren to learn the Blood Rune, Tre and Silver travel to the Guard Rune, whereupon the bear finds himself imbued with its awesome power. Alger then takes the high road, opting to scale cliffs, while Varren takes the low, dashing back toward their agreed-upon meeting point. Silver dedicates himself to mastering the staff and, along with Alger, observes the strange phenomenon that is the double-full moon. Conord focuses on his weapon crafting, Isabella gathers berries and Mellis does a lot of singing. By nightfall of Day 188, everyone's in place. Together again, the group steps beyond the threshold into an unknown danger... Many questions still remain, but in this world, only two things are ever certain.

The group who entered the cave met the dragon Drax. He thanked them for getting rid of the annoying cultists and offered each of them a trinket from his treasure pile. Drax then charged the Adventurers from Sage's Hollow with a mission. He informed them that there was a Fire Temple along the mountains to the East. Within that temple resides a Fire Dragon who is poisoning the water source with whatever foul deeds he is doing within that temple. Drax has charged the Adventurers to put an end to the corruption. He agreed to reward the citizens for their trouble, beyond what they would find in the temple.
