Session 39 Question Corner

Questions are labeled with OOC or IC to indicate whether to answer in character (IC) or out of character (OOC). If you want to include some in character dialogue in an OOC response feel free.

(OOC) It's time for a recap! As part of returning, tell me about your character's personality! Feel free to add new ideas, or flesh out smaller ones!

• Ben - Benjamin Wynn, the captain of the soaring pirates and current user of the human-human fruit model: Devil can best be described as an extremely charismatic laidback leader who puts honor and his crew above all. He will always be there to help out anyone he cares about no matter what, but to those who stand in his way or threaten his crew, they will be met with no mercy and a swift death. His current goal is to take down the current world government however his intentions for why still seem clouded in mystery...
• Leon - Leon is pretty 1:1 with zoro. His goal in life right now is to be the strongest with the exception of his crew
• Tempest - Tempest is chill and pretty reserved. She sometimes has a short burst of being silly :3 It's not uncommon for Tempest to be a bit quiet but she is actively working on talking more.
• Jacques - Jacques is a kind man, who likes to lend an ear to anyone who needs it. Rather than wanting to excel personally, he makes it his goal to make sure others are uplifted. His personal dream to accomplish his ex-wife's dream of writing a story book that tells the story about people changing the world, anis the make the Soaring Pirates the greatest pirate group to ever exist.
• Artemis - Artemis is an excitable, energetic woman, who loves the company of others. She loves to feel useful, and always strives to prove herself to the people she cares about. Her personal dream is to document every animal, and to meet the woman of her dreams.
• Gar - Gar is somewhat reserved and calculating. He’s not eager to directly clash with potential enemies, and he likes to stay out of unnecessary conflict or even talk his way out of fights when possible. He used to be incredibly secretive, but he’s trying to change that. Before meeting Archana, Gar’s only goal was to kill the people who killed Arthur and find Arthur’s sister, Margaret (I’m adding this cause as a goal of Gar’s pre-timeskip). After meeting Archana, Gar wants to learn the history of the world before the establishment of the World Government.
• Shiva - Shiva is a sometimes shy and sometimes confident woman, who glows when talking about the things she loves. She cares about others more than herself, and likes to have her creations affirmed. Her personal goal is to make a world where all Fishfolk can live freely, and to bring eternal light to Landatis City.
• Draco - Draco is a quiet and reserved person, who is obsessed with dragons. They take their role as a guard extremely seriously, and would rather die than see any of his comrades fall. His personal goal is show people that Repsins are not savages, to best his father, and to become the strongest dragon.
• Sialia - Sialia is a confident and snarky woman, with a soothing and calm personality. She enjoys providing for others, and enjoys being doted over. Her personal dream is to free her country from Big Obi, and to bring down the World Government.
• Ace - Ace is an abrasive and anti-authoritative person, who strives to be as not normal as they can. They respect strength in others, but live to their own beat. Their personal dream is to perform on the World's Stage, to defeat the Blackbeard pirates, and to get their message out into the world.

(OOC) Tell us about your character's past? What do we know so far, and are there any hints you can give for what we might learn?

• Ben - Ben grew up alongside his twin brother Jerry, they were both raised by twin maids hired by their neglectful parents who had shady dealings with the world government, upon learning the truth of his families business, the twins set off vowing to take down the world government and forming a crew of their own in order to do so. Eventually the twins went their separate ways with Jerry joining the revolutionaries and Ben taking over as the sole captain of the soaring pirates. So far the crew has learned that his family has origins regarding the "celestial dragons" as Ben and Jerry are a sub group of them called the "fallen angels."
• Leon - Leon was taken from his home island at a young age and was forced into being a pirate. He hated his former crew and wanted to escape so he essentially turned himself in.
• Tempest - Tempest was originally part of a different pirate crew that worked under Big Obi , and was kidnapped by them. Ether and Tempest met because of this and have been companions ever since. Tempest intentionally lied to leave the crew and was caught by the Marines (on purpose)
• Jacques - Jacques grew up on Gonlend in the South Blue. He studied to become a doctor, and met his wife, Marigold. However, he could not find the cure or anyone who could treat his wife, and she passed away, leaving her dream of traveling around the world and writing a book about it to him. In a fit of sadness, he almost ended his own life, before ending up saving other girl and eventually opening his own practice.
• Since then, he helped to lead a rebellion against Captain "Bone-Knight" Aaron, joined the Soaring Pirates, attacked Marine Base G3, helped a mass breakout from the Undercell, fought in the Bronze War, and assisted the Sad Mask during the attack of Gonlend.
• Artemis - Artemis crew up on Eden's Gorge, and was raised to be a knight, taking after her father. Her father, the previous holder of the Goat-Goat fruit, Model: Ram, eventually died, and passed his title on to a woman who treated Artemis with distain. Artemis, however, remained fast, and once the next holder died, she strove to take part in the trials to become the head knight, which she passed. The chief, however, had made a deal with the Wave Pirates, and tried to set the trials up so his grandson would win, so he accused her of cheating. In distress, Artemis ran away. After discovering this, she met with the Soaring Pirates, fought to free Eden, joined the Soaring Pirates, fought and defeated Henry Every using her Wendigo form, attacked Marine Base G3, helped a mass breakout from the Undercell, fought in the Bronze War, was trained by Luna "Blazing Flame" Cuapa, and revealed her "Ram Knight" Awakened Zoan form.
• Gar - Gar is the only son of Vice Admiral Jameson Ridley. Growing up in the Marines, Gar was trained and molded from a young age with the goal of becoming a future Fleet Admiral. By the age of 18, Gar was the strongest Captain in the Marines’ rank. This was also the age that he met Arthur D. Pendragon, a somewhat infamous pirate and captain of the Camelot Pirates. Gar and Arthur would have a two year affair. Gar and Arthur would eventually be betrayed by three people—Captain Peter Ashe, First Mate Mordred SIlvers and Gar’s father—and Arthur would die protecting Gar. His father stripped him of his rank, branded him a traitor to the World Government and completely disowned him. Since then, he temporarily became a bounty hunter, ate the Gravity-Gravity fruit, and eventually joined the Soaring Pirates.
• Shiva - Shiva grew up and was born in Landatis City, but spent about half of her early years on the Ship-Islands of the Shi Armada. At around five years old, Shiva came out to her mother and the rest of the Shi Armada as transgender. From an early age, Shiva experienced hate across the places she would go, which quickly showed her how easily people could turn on her. She mentored under her mother, until she was sixteen years old, in which she was dropped off at Ingen Aria. She joined the Maker's Guild, and until she was twenty remained a member. The Guild learned of Shiva's heritage, and swiftly removed her, and became hostile towards her. Shiva lived like this, in an abandoned old workshop, for four years, until she had a run in with the Soaring Pirates. They gave her the courage to speak up towards the leader of the Maker's Guild, and joined the pirate group. Since then, she has built an amazing Ironwood ship known as Casia's Requiem, fought in the Bronze War, and assisted the Shi Armada during the attack of Gonlend.
• Draco - Draco was raised on Repsin Island in the New World. However, when he was young he was taken off of it by his father, Jax Delarin. Jax had him join his crew, the Black Blade Pirates, and continually abused him until his late teen years. Jax often talked about how the Repsin people were all disgusting, which quickly put the idea to Draco to be as Repsin as he could be.
• More recently, Draco has joined the Soaring Pirates. He was trained by Shiyulin Gu the "Third Son of Shi" for swordsmanship, and haki.
• Sialia - Sialia is of three-eye tribe descendance, and as such was treated poorly in her homeland. She grew up in the concentration camps of Lingshi. At 16, she ran away, and found herself joining the Revolutionaries as a bartender on the Kingdom of Dreyden. At 18, she was betrayed by a friend, and turned into the government. She was left to rot in the Undercell. This was until she was freed by the Soaring Pirates 10 years later. Since then, she has fought in the Bronze War, rejoined the Revolutionaries, and traveled with the Soaring Pirates as a bartender.
• Ace - As a child, Ace was called "Adrianna," but at around 9 years old came out as nonbinary and changed their name to Ace. They have fought in the Bronze War, the Battle of Gonlend, and was locked in the Ridgebess Contest to preform for the Fallen Angel's of Ridgebess. They were freed by the Soaring Pirates, and joined them after the Battle of Bubbleland.

(IC) Drink up me hearties yo ho! How's your alcohol tolerance?

• Ben - I'm more of a man who indulges in using marijuana however my tolerance for drinking isn't something to be underestimated, I say i can hold my drink pretty well.
• Leon - I can easily out drink anyone in the crew and then sum. Alcohol is like water
• Tempest - Well, I would say I am great but after seeing how Leon handles drinks after that competition ...I'll say i'm alright. I can do more than the average. Please don't give drinks to the lizard.
• Jacques - I'd like to say I'm a good 6/10. Not amazing, but definitely not bad.
• Artemis - I get drunk fast, but don't black out easy, so I'll say 5/10.
• Gar - I was drunk for a significant portion of my life. As a result, my tolerance is...impressive.
• Shiva - I don't try to get drunk often, but I'd say 3/10. I don't hold my drink well.
• Draco - Bad. Bad bad bad. Like 1/10.
• Sialia - I hold my drink quite well, but typically I'm not busy serving them to drink much. 8/10.
• Ace - Uhh well enough I think. I pretty much always black out but I know I drink a lot. Oh uh 7/10.
