Session 40 Question Corner

(IC) Aesthetic style, like apparel, makeup or other cosmetics, are an telling and important part of personal identity! So, how would you describe yours?

• Ben - I like to dress professionally but not to the point of designer clothing, with my position as captain I feel its important to come off as dignified to gain the respect of the public, or at least make those dumb enough to challenge us think twice.
• Leon - 1: Definitely don't have an amazing aesthetic but its pretty barbaric to say the least
• Tempest - I used to hide my features but over time I have become more open. I wear more breathable and revealing clothing. I would say the best description is more athletic leisure wear.
• Jacques - I'd describe myself as battle-professional, with a cape. I typically wear yellows or greens, but never together. Painting my nails is a very important part of my style as well.
• Artemis - I like to have skin showing, especially around my tummy and my arms. But all my outfits have to have light blue in them. It's the color of the Illivak, the Eden head royal knight, so it's my honor to wear. I don't wear much makeup, but I want to learn! I'm just too jittery.
• Gar - Um, I don’t know. I guess a lot of my clothes tend to lean towards blue and gold, but I'm not sure I have a specific style. But I always try to have a bunny stitched or imprinted somewhere on my shirts or jackets.
• Shiva - I like open skin clothes, like crop tops, dresses, skirts, or shorts. Things that let my skin feel the sun make me feel refreshed. I typically wear a good bit of makeup, but Fishfolk shades of foundation are hard to find.
• Draco - I like functional clothes that I can move around in, but armor is really cool too.
• Sialia - I like to wear jades and greens, as well as a good bit of make up. Dresses are my go to. I quite enjoy doing my makeup, as it gives me a place and a time to just love myself for awhile.
• Ace - Tattoos, skeleton designs, and dark reds. Tight pants, boots, loose tops. Hats are a big no though, can't cover the hair.

(IC) The weather is all around you, and constantly changing! But what's your favorite?

• Ben - My favorite type of weather is the sunshine that comes right after a storm, the air feels nice and clean and colors seem to pop more often, almost like the world was washed of all its filth
• Leon - (crying Vegeta gif)
• Tempest - the cool winter is my favorite. Who would've thought the snow leopard would love the breeze and chilly air. Sorry Ether, you gotta stay inside for that.
• Jacques - I like cool weather, not cold, not hot, just like a good middle point. A bit of a breeze to get my hair shifting isn't bad either.
• Artemis - I loooveee humid and hot weather, so I'm THRIVING right now (it's the middle of July). The more you sweat, the better the work is!
• Gar - Overcast
• Shiva - I like the sun being out, with not a lot of wind, and the air feeling a bit warm. Slightly cloudy days are probably my favorite.
• Draco - I like thunderstorms, but not when they're cold. Like a humid, hot thunderstorm.
• Sialia - I like a breeze. And the sun. I spent most of my life without either, so I'll take as much of both as I can.
• Ace - I like when it's pouring. HARD. The look of my makeup smearing in the rain is one of my favorite looks.

(IC) Fighting, unfortunately, is a part of a pirate's life. Who taught you how to fight, what are they like, and where are they now?

• Ben - Abby taught me all I know about my fighting style, but this was later strengthened by Alexandra, who taught me greater ways of improving that style
• Leon - on my old crew it was defiantly the stronger you are the higher rank. I kinda just had to adapt so I wouldn't die ya know
• Tempest - I have to thank Sookie. I think everyone knows our history. Not very happy having to learn but Its been useful
• Jacques - I taught myself originally, but the crew actually taught me to fight. So I guess where are you guys right now?
• Artemis - My father taught me how to fight. He was harsh and demanding, but strong-willed, kind, and loving. He's gone, but he lives through my Devil Fruit!
• Gar - My father taught me everything I know. Brutal doesn’t always feel like a strong enough word to describe that training, but he was trying to produce someone strong enough to be the Fleet Admiral. As for where he is, he’s probably at Marine Base NW1.
• Shiva - Madam Shi, Ace, and Valor taught me how to fight! Well, more of how to defend myself, and just enough to make sure I wouldn't be killed for being a Fishfolk. You guys have met them all.
• Draco - My father taught me how to fight, and it's the only thing I can give him credit for. He was a terrible person, and constantly pushed me to the brink of death, but I guess I am better for it.
• Sialia - I learned some basic martial arts from my contemporaries in the Warriors of the Middle Kingdom. I needed to know how to defend myself while doing my work as a teenager. The Warriors are kind people, but are distrusting, especially of outsiders. You'll meet them soon.
• Ace - My uncle Bruno taught me how to fight, oh and also my sister. My uncle was a good person, took care of me after my father died and my mother disappeared. He was slow and made a different curriculum for each person he taught, which was helpful when he assigned me to just destroy a bunch of old pottery. He died in a fight.
