Session 41 Question Corner

(IC) Let's return to basics! Now that we are a bit into our journey into the New World, I'll ask again, what are your thoughts on the rest of the inhabitants of Casia's Requiem?

Ben's Answers

• Ben - Despite everything, It's still me
• Leon - Leon is someone whose strength I looked up to when we first crossed paths, it seemed no matter who or what he faced he would always find a way to break through the situation no matter what (both literally and metaphorically), and it is that same strength that I one day wished to achieve myself. He has shown time and time again to care immensely for all the crew members, and despite his violent and short temper, I know I can trust him to keep everyone safe if the worse were to occur to me. It is for that reason that I am honored to call Leon my first mate and best friend.
• Tempest - Words cannot describe how proud I feel in seeing how much Tempest has grown since we started traveling together. Getting through to her cold demeaner was rough at first, but the more I came to know Tempest, the more I realized how kindhearted she truly was. She's cunning, capable and silly at times but will always be there for you, even in the roughest times.
• Ether - This large lad has a special place in my heart, both tempest and ether care about each other immensely and it is for that reason that I vow to protect him with my life.
• Ghidorah - Sometimes I wonder how Ghidorah's life was before we snatched them from the government, I wonder if they're happier traveling around the world with us or misses a simpler life, after all it's not very common for a hydra to travel this much.
• Jacques - Jacques saved my life multiple times and for that I will always be thankful. If it weren't for him I highly doubt any of us would have made it this far, his kind, selfless personality shine through no matter how dark or grim it gets. He is like a guiding light to me and has influenced how I think more than he probably realizes.
• Artemis - This little bundle of energy always brings a positive vibe to the environment, she too has grown a lot since we first started travelling and her experience is really starting to show itself. She is steadfast in wanting to help the people she cares about and will do so no matter what, even if it' completely reckless. I fear Leon has influenced her too much but honestly, it's the lack of hesitation that inspires me to do the same.
• Gar - This son of a bitch was the MOST infuriating, grueling and annoying motherfucker to ever get through to. But goddamn am I so happy I did, his strength, intelligence and knowledge over this world has been some of the greatest help this crew has ever gotten and the rivalry I have with him is one of the main reasons as to why I strive to keep improving myself. But please don't tell him any of this, that damn smirk of his still annoys me to this day.
• Shiva - I have as much respect for Shiva's creative engineering and tinkering that I do with my own brother, she has shown time and time again to be always full of the best ideas and is always happy to look over and improve any silly little schematics that I may have. I owe her a lot for all the help she has been to the crew and I strive to continue seeing her be happy.
• Draco - Draco is the mightiest dragon I know, he's always full of surprises and his fighting capabilities are nothing short of impressive. I will forever be thankful for his deed of protecting this ship while we were all separated. He has rightfully earned all my trust and I am honored to call such a strong beast, my crew mate.
• Sialia - Ben felt too flustered to gather his thoughts on paper, which is seen through various scribbled out messages left on the paper
• Ace - My newly found out to be family member, although we have yet to really get to know each other, I am happy to have them on my crew. Their music has been delightful to listen too and I look forward in having more adventures along side them.

• Ben - Well the crew recently heard how I feel about ben. He's my father figure I honestly wanna call him dad sometimes but I don't think he'd like that haha he's smart and strong just what a captain is
• Leon - my stinky older brother for sure. I cant beat him in drinking or strength or size but he always has my back it was nice he let us bathe him that one time :3
• Tempest - I'm cool! :sunglasses:
• Ether - my sweet baby so cute perfect no other comments
• Ghidorah - 8 heads so many I'm so glad he is still here and protects the ship another sweet baby
• Jacques - … He's not bad is actually really cool now. I didn't give him enough credit before so i think I gotta pay the doctor a visit
• Artemis - she inspires me. So full of energy and means well. I love having her around. I wont ever tell her that she brightens my day with her smile
• Gar - ya no he's still the one with brains
• Shiva - very smart and creative much respect for the ship and my space. As people who speaks for others we got a good bit in common. I should check in with her more
• Draco - I love Draco! I value the position he plays in our crew and isn't afraid of protecting what is important to him. I know he's a dragon I wonder what else he is thinking about sometimes...
• Sialia - honestly I haven't really talked much there is def respect and well working with us isn't easy. I gotta get to know her more besides good drinks
• Ace - they are really cool! Id be lying if my head didn't nod along to their music. The news relating to ben def had me curious if there where any more secrets but I don't think so. Nothing can really top that

Gar's Answers

• Ben - Ben is still a dumbass, and that will never change. But :rolling_eyes::unamused: he’s grown on me and I can’t say that he’s unqualified to be a captain. Don’t tell him I said that. He’ll never let me live it down, and I don’t have the want, time or energy to deal with the ego boost it’ll give him.
• Leon - Leon stepped up when Ben was gone. That’s all I can ask for in a first mate.
• Tempest - Tempest concerned me the most because she was the only one I wasn’t fully able to get a read on. Now I know that she’s the Land’s Voice, I’m interested in knowing more about her.
• Ether - The worm that Tempest rides into battle sometimes? Um, he’s fine, I guess? I don’t really hang out with Ether.
• Ghidorah - I don’t always remember that we have a hydra on board.
• Jacques - I said it before, and I’ll say it again: Jacques is competent. His time with Essa has only seemed to make him better. I still want to learn how he’s able to mimic Shave.
• Artemis - I was a little worried to learn that Artemis had awoken her devil fruit. She seems to have control of it, but I still think she’s a little impulsive. Which says something, cause damn near half the crew is impulsive.
• Gar - I think I’m going insane being here.
• Shiva - I used to feel that Shiva worried a lot about almost everything. But she’s finding herself and reaching her potential. I also need to learn more about her capabilities as the Sea’s Voice.
• Draco - He is the reason I was able to get Arthur’s fruit back for Aethesland. And he somehow became a dragon-like creature through sheer manifestation. I have no bad words about Draco.
• Sialia - She makes really good drinks. And we both have similar goals of deciphering what’s been written on the various Poneglyphs. Plus, she makes Ben flustered. That makes me laugh every time.
• Ace - They are loud. Fun, but loud.

NPC Answers

Jacques' Answers

• Ben - Ben continues to be my best friend, and my man crush. No literally, if he asked me out I would not say no. Recently, I've decided on my own dream. My dream is to make Ben the greatest pirate who ever lived. I think that should tell you how much I love this man.
• Leon - As much as a pain in my side Leon can be, I can never hate him. He's like a big teddy bear. All I can hope is he reverts to his base form when I'm examining him. I do not know dinosaur biology.
• Tempest - I feel like Tempest and I see the world similarly. A lot of the people we fight don't deserve to be killed, and the fact that the people Tempest fights typically get to live shows how strong she really is.
• Ether - Ether is so very cute. I love to put heat packs inside his armor and see him cuddle up with them.
• Ghidorah - I appreciate this big guy watching over our treasury.
• Jacques - That's me!
• Artemis - Artemis should use her head less, and her brain more. She's REALLY smart, but doesn't believe in her intelligence, which is unfortunate. I think she'd make a good captain if she just understood people a bit more.
• Gar - I feel like we're making Gar worse. Well I say worse, but what I mean is more reckless. I appreciate how logical he is, but the longer he stays on this crew, the more head-strong he seems to become. Soon we'll all be running into situations head first.
• Shiva - Shiva's confidence seems to be quite in flux, but I appreciate her trying. She still surprises me with how fast she can work though. She even made me my Rail Disc Gun!
• Draco - Draco continues to be a very honorable person. I now believe in the power of manifestation because of him. Maybe he isn't a dragon, but a genie.
• Sialia - I don't like that Sialia has replaced my place at the bar (laughs). I prefer her drinks to mine really.
• Ace - Ace seems like the type who will constantly be in my office. Not that I don't appreciate their company, but their first reaction seems to be: fight. It's a dangerous mindset to have, but they'll be fine. They have us.

Artemis' Answers

• Ben - My boss! My captain! I love Ben. Ben is like the older brother I never had. I will to go the ends of the earth and back to make sure this man gets his will served. Ben and I seem to have similar tempers, and I like our late night talks.
• Leon - Leon, like Ben, is the older brother I never had. But he’s the eldest. Leon is the worst influence on this crew, constantly giving me the stupidest challenges that I always feel I have to do. Why do I feel like I NEED his approval? Regardless, meatheads unite.
• Tempest - Tempest continues to be the only reason I’m not at the bottom of the sea. But I’m so glad she opened up more since we got back! It’s great to see her in more of an active role. I now know I don’t annoy her.
• Ether - Ether, as a gigant ouroborus cataphractus, is the largest I’ve ever seen! The strongest and the cutest too!
• Ghidorah - I’ve heard of Hydras but I never thought they were real! Crazy how the world works.
• Jacques - Jacques is like the crew dad to me. He gives good advice, but he’s seemed more… sad since we met up again. I wonder if he’s okay.
• Artemis - What do I think about myself? I’m amazing!
• Gar - Gar is an enabler, and more of a prankster than I thought he’d be. He’s seemed so much more open to… existing with us, rather than observing since we’ve come back together. I’m glad we have him. He feels like the second in charge to me.
• Shiva - Shiva is just the sweetest, kindest, most caring woman I have ever met. She is the type of friend that you could see yourself being friends with for the rest of your life, and I hope we will be. I want her to make rockets I can attach to the back of my legs so I can kick harder.
• Draco - Draco is a good friend, and one I feel bad for. He seems kinda socially anxious, and I’ve heard that he doesn’t really have any closer friends. I want to hangout with him more.
• Sialia - Sialia is so pretty! And her confidence! Her power! A woman of POWER! I should ask her for some makeup tips.
• Ace - Ace hasn’t been here long, but they make me better at hitting shit, so I will not complain. Their music is also really well done!

Shiva's Answers

• Ben - Ben, I’ve never been able to express how I feel through talking, so writing will have to do. My dream is to give eternal light to the Seafolk, to Landatis City. You allowed me to dream. You gave me hope, and courage to fight back. You helped me build a platform for me to put my dream on. You brought light into my life; you’re my Prometheus, whoever they were.
• Leon - Leon's strength is something to admire and respect. He and I haven't spent much time together, but the time we do have is always nice. I can't really figure him out though. What does he want? Why does he risk his life to sail the seas?
• Tempest - I need to talk to Tempest more. Her ambition, it’s just so… relatable. I feel it too. In her smile. In her eyes. The power she holds. The queenly spirit. We are two pieces of a puzzle. The Land and the Sea. Two pieces of this worldly puzzle, trying to interpret what fate is trying to tell us. What are we trying to say, if not that change is coming.
• Ether - Ether is such a pleasure to work with. He stands so still when I’m getting his measurements for armor and weaponry, and his little emotes are so cute. He tries to hold his breath too! Which he doesn’t need to do, but I can’t tell him not to. Although, his natural scales are quite tough. Maybe I should make some kind of tank with those in mind… or no! Maybe I should- (This passage continues for several dozens of pages.)
• Ghidorah - Ghidorah is an interesting case to study. The way the body shifts to accommodate the extra weight of each new head is astounding, and truthfully a bit scary.
• Jacques - The closest thing I’ve had to a positive masculine role model in my life was Ace’s uncle, and now Jacques. I feel like he’s like the perfect man. Caring, strong-willed, not unwilling to show emotion, a man who loves everyone and everything. Jacques’ strength comes from his desire to lift others up, instead of rising himself. I respect, and feel that personally. Additionally, I will never forget involvement in the Battle of Gonlend. He saved my life that day, and I'll pay that back.
• Artemis - Artemis should not change. Well not too much at least. Her youthful energy is almost infectious, and her drive to succeed is strong. She’s more of a romantic than I thought she’d be. But my message to her? Don’t be afraid to be yourself. To stay yourself. No one is a better you, than you. Keep being unmovable. Like the mountains you climb.
• Gar - Gar. You saved me. I don’t know if you’ll ever read this, or if you even care, but you saved my life. I had been stuck on that old island, with the same shitty racist ass people, for eight years. And then you came along, and gave me a chance. No one wanted to give the weird Fishfolk on the edge of town the time of day, but you brought… all these people into my life. Thank you.
• Shiva - Half of me wants to say, “She’s beautiful! Perfect! You couldn’t ask her to be anything else.” And the other half wants to say, “She’ll never be good enough. She’ll never be enough opposed to her mom. She’s never be womanly enough.” Either way I’m lying though. Cause I’m still just me. Still me.
• Draco - Draco knows what it's like to live in the shadow of a parent. And he also knows what it's like to spend time with the Shi Armada. He is too in his own shell right now, and I want to help him shed out of it, like I'm trying to do.
• Sialia - I don't know if I want to be Sialia, or I want to be in a relationship with her. She's like… the prettiest person I've ever seen, and she's so sweet. She has a particular devious smile, and this air of mystery to her. I wish I could be mysterious. Gender envy is too strong with her.
• Ace - Ace was my first supporter, and I’ll never forget what they’ve done for me. There was this time when we were kids. I was getting attacked by some people in a port town we were visiting, actually this is how I got my forehead scar, they threw rocks, shards of glass. And I screamed and screamed, until Ace showed up, and tried to fight them. They got their ass beat, and I screamed for help. Next thing I remembered we were leaving the island. Madam Shi and mom looked at me differently after that day.

Draco's Answers

• Ben - The longer I'm on this crew, the more I know I've made the right decision. Ben is the greatest captain on these seas, and I couldn't ask for a better leader to sail with.
• Leon - Leon can always see the strength in each person, and he has a strange desire to bring that strength out in everyone. Thanks for that big guy.
• Tempest - Tempest and I both use elemental powers, and we both use electricity technically. I was born here in the New World, but I don’t remember much, and haven’t been back before this voyage, but I'm glad that she's the one that we have to guide us. I can see that guiding and navigating is getting to her though. We need a navigator.
• Ether - If Tempest ever needs help taking care of this guy, I know a good oil that helps with shedding skin.
• Ghidorah - Big guy… REALLY BIG GUY. MANY HEADS BIG GUY! Cute big guy.
• Jacques - Jacques still impresses me with his knowledge of like all humanoid anatomy? Schooling must be just so impressive in the South Blue…
• Artemis - Artemis is very fun to have here, and I'm still glad to have someone my age on the ship.
• Gar - When I met Gar I thought he'd leave me for dead for the mission. Now I know he would kill himself before doing that. For a guy who acts like he doesn't care, he certainly cares a lot.
• Shiva - I will still never forget that Shiva put me in a position where I could ask to join this crew. I could never pay her back for what she’s done for me, but that doesn’t mean I am not going to try.
• Draco - I don't really know what to think about myself. But I know I'm a dragon.
• Sialia - Sialia, while not a member of the crew, is still part of my guard while she is on this ship. As such, her life means as much to me as my own, and I am glad she is safe.
• Ace - I'm glad to have another nonbinary member of the crew. One that knows how to play some really good music too.

Ace's Answers

• Ben - Ben is really funny, especially to make fun of. He's easy to bond with too. I see how he's this crew's captain. He reminds me, both in appearance and demeanor of my late Uncle, which makes sense, he was his uncle too. Also Ben's a Fallen Angel… and a Devil… This story feels familiar.
• Leon - Leon is kind of a dick, and I love it. He helps to indulge those more "bad" urges, and I find that fun as fuck. He also seems to like contests. Fighting contest? I'd definitely lose, but a singing contest? Nah, I'd win.
• Tempest - So Shiva can talk to Sea Kings, and Tempest can talk to ancient land animals? Wait are turtles land animals? I don't get ancient magic…
• Ether - This guy is so cute. He seems to really like me though… I guess helping heal his tail really made him trust me? We'll see.
• Ghidorah - I want to use it's heads as a slide.
• Jacques - Jacques is my guy. I met him back during the Battle of Gonlend, saw him save Shiva's life, and then continue trying to evacuate civilians. He is just… A good person.
• Artemis - She's reckless, but we seems like she's trying to get better. She makes me laugh, but I think she could put me in a coffin.
• Gar - Gar is helpful. Shiva seems to respect you, and the only good marine is one who quits, so I appreciate that. Turn me into a lighthouse again though, that was fun.
• Shiva - The way I feel for Shiva is nothing like I feel for anyone else. I know I love her, but the love feels different. I have no idea if this feeling is romantic love, but it’s most definitely not platonic. I’ve felt that for my sister, my uncle, my old and current crew. I just… want to always be near her. Make sure nothing, or no one, hurts her again.
• Draco - Draco needs to give more to others. He seems predisposed to not being listened to, which is sad.
• Sialia - Sialia, by her own birth is anti-establishment, which I respect. She’s kind of a perfect person to be standing against the government. She’s… too perfect. Where did you say you met her again?
• Ace - Bitch, I know I’m sexy.
