Dwarf

Dwarves are hardy folk that tend to live in underground settlements. They have a long and storied history, of which they do not share with outsiders. Though their clans are now spread thin and far between, they once had great halls under the northern Crystalmist Mountains, which were destroyed by the Twin Cataclysms.

Growth Rate & Stages

Dwarves mature at about the same rate as humans, but are considered young until they reach about fifty years of age, and can live as old as three-hundred and fifty.

Courtship Ideals

Dwarves often court others for their skills and abilities over one's looks. This is because the purpose of marriage to dwarves is to strengthen their clan.

Common Dress Code

Dwarves tend to wear durable and functional clothing, but are not above dressing themselves up with colorful hues and golden jewelry when the need arises.

Historical Figures

There are few dwarven historical figures that outsiders remember, perhaps the only one still recorded in the history books of humans and elves is the last high king of the dwarves, who in his time helped bring peace and prosperity to dwarves and even their fiercest enemies, even orcs. However it is said that he perished during the Twin Cataclysms.
