Longbridge

Longbridge is one of the few free ports remaining in Onnwal and is essential to its continuation. Because of this, its stone walls are guarded by many soldiers who keep a tight ship within the limits of the town. Longbridge is home to workers of wood and stone, who keep the walls and roads in good shape, and keep the docks and ships repaired. It is currently the home of the Iron fleet, the navy of the Iron League.

Government

The County of Longbridge is run by its count and wealthy land owners. These land owners collect taxes from those living on their land, and give a portion of that to the count and Longbridge

Defences

The town is defended by high stone walls, built by the local masons.

Industry & Trade

The settlement makes a good deal off of trade from afar, but makes its fair share too from wooden and stone crafts. While the town easily supplies things made of wood and stone for themselves, food can be hard to come by, due to the increased violence in the area, and grain and other foods are often shipped from nearby countries.

Infrastructure

The local wood and stone workers have built a good deal for this town. The stone masons have built sewers lead filth away from the streets, roads to make paths easier to tread and most famously, bridges that span the many rivers in the area, small and large. The carpenters and wood carvers have built windmills for crushing grain, shipyards for building galleys and sailing ships, as well as contributed to the city's name with dozens of wooden bridges.

Guilds and Factions

Woodworker's Guild, Stonemasons Guild, Seafairer's Guild, Cartographer's guild

Geography

The town is set on rocky terrain with a steep slope down to the shoreline. Next to the town is a river that flows out to sea.
