Gryphspines

Description: Gryphspines are majestic, lion-bodied creatures with the wings and head of an eagle, covered in spiky, crystalline spines that gleam with the colors of the aurora. These spines can be launched as defensive projectiles when threatened.
Habitat: Roaming the higher altitudes, they nest in the craggiest peaks where the winds are strongest.
Relationship with Dwarves: Considered sacred guardians by the Mountain Dwarves, Gryphspines share a mutual respect with the Dwarves of Dorikos, often seen circling above the city-state as protectors and omens of good fortune.
