Norland

In the northern-eastern reaches of Rona there is a great swath of land stretching from the Bay Of Bael, westward through the Heath And Loch north of the mysterious Norwood forest, reaching the sheer cliffs of the The Cauldera. This is the duchy of Norland, who's seat is its one and only city, Tanninport. The duchy ends where Weitland begins in the west, though the exact border changes from map to map; and in the South where it borders Greater Autura. Most of region is vast farm and grazing lands. Tanninport is a large port city that exports cattle and agricultural products across the kingdom. The Cauldera is avoided for the dangerous creatures that reside near those cliffs, though there are a few mines near the edge known for their incredibly rich gemstone deposits. Its symbol is the rising eagle. It is often called "The North."

The Tannin family earned their fortune selling lumber. They stripped this northern region of those fir trees, resulting in large areas of grazing lands for cattle.

The last of the northern Moarvik clans gives fealty to Rona and the lands adjacent to the Bay Of Brynlinia formally become part of Rona. 292 N.C. The Queen of Ja'dmir, marries King Tannin and the city-state becomes a Dutchy of Rona. 325 N.C. King Tannin dies saving his wife's life. King Tannin II takes the Throne. 340 N.C. King Tannin II establishes Ronan City of Tanninport in memory of his father. 365 N.C. Ronan City of Autura Established. 371 N.C. King Tannin II dies mysteriously.
