Cindarian Dukedoms

The Cindarian Dukedoms is a small, mysterious kingdom set on a volcanic island chain out in the Sea of Ulmo between the continents of Esseas and Tyrean.
Little is known about the people who live there. For many years, the Dukedoms were highly isolationist, and seldom interacted with the world on the eastern shores of the Sea of Ulmo. They are known to be a theocratic people who follow a religion known as the Eternal Flame. Despite early attempts by the Zentherian Dynasty, they were never absorbed into that kingdom and the records on the matter are incomplete and unclear. It is known that they have a great number of practitioners of fire magics, and if stories are true, enslaved fire elementals. Its people are believed to be mostly Humans, and also have sizeable populations of Dwarves, Red Dragonborn, Fire Genasi, and a small population of Tortles who enjoy the natural heat of the volcanos. Their leadership rule from fire topped towers in the city of Flamespire.
For reasons unknown, in the past several years, they have begun to expand their land holdings by invading the mainland Tyrean, and coming to conflict with forces of the Ondari Dominion which also have claimed a portion of the western Tyrean. Forces of the Dukedoms have also recently been spotted on the islands of Ishalkah as well as at the mouth of the Jungles to Xeti. What their objectives are remains a mystery, as does the sudden change in the disposition of their people from a isolationist theocracy to militant and expansionist.
