Somberward

The name for multiple separate underground cavern systems that are told to be the birthplace and original homes to the gods prior to their ascent to the surface, and subsequently other planes. Littered with relics of the past and each with their own differences, the one thing that is a constant among these places is that the surface world has done little to change what remains in these pockets beneath the surface. While some argue that travel between the different pockets of the Somberward is possible, few have been able to go into the Somberward and make it out alive, and none have found the answers.
