Wendell Butts

Wendell Butts is a Tiefling Sorcerer and member of The Vacationers. He specializes in manipulating the elements around him.

Wendell Butts

History

Wendell was born in Selba's Hollow to two members of the Wet and Wild Buffalos, Arcanist Ike Butts of Elkendeep Tower, and the Druid Tina Butts. He was born with large bat wings on his back, a rare trait for Tieflings. Some believe that Tina Butt's ability to take the form of animals played a role in this. At an early age, Wendell exhibited innate arcane abilities and was encouraged by his parents to wield this power for good. During these years, he met the children of the other members of the Wet and Wild Buffalos. Their friendship lasted until the disappearance of all of their parents.
Left an orphan at such an early age Wendell was sent to live in the Temple of the Storm, a monastery dedicated to the entity known as the Stormlord. There he was taught to better control the magic within him and to harness the power of nature and weather. Though he had grown up in the presence of the Stormlord, Wendell never saw a need to worship the entity as a god but did respect the Stormlord's power and teachings.

The Powers of Limbo

While on the chaotic plane of Limbo, Wendell's wings were magically removed from his body. However, his mother and father were able to manipulate the plane to create new spectral wings for their son. Mr. and Mrs. Butts also granted Wendell a boon of the elements, allowing Wendell to take the form of various elements.
