Brendan is introduced to the Centurions

Brendan was trying to escape from a local gang of thieves that he had stolen from and ran into Sir Gerard and Father Cardic. They saved his life and he made the decision to travel with them since they were headed his direction, would be safer to travel with than alone, and were very interesting to him.
