Tulemia
Tulemia is a new noble family, whose head is Count Inipita, who arrived to Ager from abroad. He is known as a jovial and good-natured man who also knows how to lead and make the hard decisions. Largely thanks to his charisma and openness, the nomads of the area have received him well: he has allowed them to keep their way of life, and the rights to their lands as long as his people are allowed to pass through, naturally assuming they, too, respect the nomads lands and customs. He is known as a just man who doesn't care who committed the crime.
The family is multicultural due to Inipita having three wives from around the world, and have a natural way of respecting visitors from all corners of the world.
Currently, the family consists of the following people:
Inipita used to captain his ship since young age all the way until his rise to Agerian nobility less than ten years ago. He has a warm relationship with the king, but is also known not to approve of his harsh treatment of the common folk. The Count of the Northern Islands is known to be one of the few people who can speak sense into the king, and tell him things as they are without fear of getting beheaded; however, he is careful which matters he brings up, as he doesn't see the point in dying in the hands of a fool when he can await the better person to take the throne.
He has three wives and seven children.
Countess Tiela Tulemia comes originally from the Central Tribelands, where she led a sizeable tribe before marrying Inipita Tulemia. This tribe, she left in the capable hands of her brother, Zabin.
She is especially known for her skills in battle, loud and stubborn personality and horsemanship. She and Inipita have four children, Etira, Nameless, Hengel, and Trihi, who have all gained - or lost - their names as per the customs of the Central Tribelands: by winning them from others. She herself has seventy-eight names, though she never introduces herself with them all as she thinks it would take too much time and feel much like bragging.
Etira Tulemia is the eldest child of Count Inipita and Countess Tiela. She won her name in the Tribelands by challenging a child of her age into a riding contest. She won by a mile, and has never lost the name to someone else.
She appreciates combat skills over all else, and is known to challenge many visitors into mock duels to keep her skills sharp against all sorts of opponents.
Nameless was given one name at birth, and that name he lost in a simple, rock-paper-scissors-like game when he was only two. He has never attempted to win himself a new name, as he has little appreciation for this part of his mother's culture.
While he is often introduced as Nameless, he prefers the name Savi. He's the only son of the couple, and often withdrawn, preferring to observe from a distance.
Hengel, the older twin of Trihi, got her name after taking the life of a coast pirate who didn't listen to Count Inipita's orders to leave L'Siral's lands in peace. She often guards in the borderlands, and has gained the respect of her people despite her young age.
The younger twin of Hengel, and the youngest child of Count Inipita Tulemia and Countess Tiela Tulemia, Trihi is unwavering in her opinions and values, occasionally making her a difficult conversation partner.
She won her name when she slew a fleeing slave, which has caused some tension between her and Pitch.
Countess Pitch is a former slave who killed her owner, which led to a death sentence in her homeland in a small island state Kriwaha. She managed to escape, however, finding refuge in Inipita Tulemia's ship while it was anchored in a port. She later made an impression with her tough personality and sharp senses.
While Pitch is not a fighter, she has shown to possess a tactical mind, which proved invaluable during Inipita's time as a captain, and later, occasionally after they settled in the Northern Islands.
She and Inipita have two children, Wata and Calla.
Wata is the oldest child of Inipita and Pitch. He is intelligent and calm, representing well his Near-God, Ruler; he places the common good ahead of individual, which some people who live under his rule on his small patch of land have mixed feelings about. So far, however, he has not shown anyone any reason to doubt his abilities as a leader.
Calla, daughter of Inipita and Pitch, is a young, energetic girl who has charmed most of the people in the castle with her happy personality. Due to her love of adventure, she's been prone to getting into trouble ever since before she even learned to walk, but those mishaps haven't shaken her too much.
Countess Hethia is a half-elven woman who originates from the Ferwoods of Ager. She left her home to sate her curiosity of the world around her, and eventually met her husband-to-be, Inipita Tulemia. She is an unusually skilled mage who doesn't care much for etiquette, treating people rather directly, much like her husband.
She has one child with Inipita, Enilla.
Enilla, much like her mother Hethia, is a skilled mage, though she isn't even nearly in as much control of her magic due to her few years. She's very intelligent for her age, and that combined with her will to experiment has caused some noise and scares. She often takes off without permission, to practice her skills and develop new spells in the areas nearby.
