Crystal Rush

Whenever a large supply of Mana Crystals are discovered, it often leads to a major phenomenon called a Crystal Rush, which leads to a mass influx of migrant workers and hopeful prospectors. The major influx of personnel and the rapidly increasing demand for services then causes boom towns to form as people make a living from selling tools, equipment, supplies and materials to the people mining for crystals, sometimes with little regard for the legalities. Because of how significant these Crystal Rushes are, there are well detailed historical records of all major Crystal Rushes.
Causing the formation of Oorlog, the Rijk Crystal Rush of 1916, that still continues today, is one of the largest recorded Crystal Rushes, having uncovered vast Mana Crystal reserves underneath the Rijk-Mahmia Mountain Range. Because of the conflicted status of the mountain range, the Rijk Crystal Rush has led to rapidly increasing tensions between the Rijk Kingdom and the Mahmian Protectorate, which has been exacerbated by the behaviour of the prospectors and miners.
