Koblites

The Small Folk

These are the little people of the world, and as they were the second sentient race created by the gods, they have a long history that goes back long before the war of the wayfarers. They are known for their crafts, especially those of cloth and leather, as well as their keen intellect, and business sense. While they aren't known as much for either their strength or battle prowess, one should not underestimate the destructive potential of a motivated Koblite. They are also known for their love of shiny things, such as silver and gold, but especially pearls and crystals, the best synthetic crystals are koblite-made, and the koblites will pay the most for a good-sized pearl.

Appearance

They come in various colors, most commonly green or light blue, although pale and shades of red are also seen. Rarer would be orange, these are only found in the southernmost regions of the world. These colors refer only to the tone of the skin, as their hair colors come in either green, ginger, fiery red, grey, crimson red, or even pink, these colors seem to be random and can change over the course of a koblites life, they are also able to have mixed hair colors, where some strands of hair a different color than the other, this is usually a transition stage, and it is in the process of one color being taken over by another. However, there are some rare Koblites who permanently have two different colors of hair, and while this is permanent, it can still change again just as much as regular hair color can change, which is once every five to ten years, at the fastest.   Their noses are small and almost cat-shaped, and their eyes are bright, either yellow, red, orange, or a mix of all of the above, with slit salamander pupils, and a third eyelid that protects their eyes while underwater. Their ears are large and wide and can make up half of the width of their head. They have sharp teeth with extra long canines, these are great for their omnivorous diet.   They have a short stature the tallest among them being no more than 130 centimeters tall, with the average individual being 100-110 centimeters. They have comparatively long limbs, toes, and fingers, that end with short sharp claws.

Territory

These little creatures have, like humans, spread to every corner of the world, making up a small minority in many places, although they have few if any nations of their own. Where they thrive the most is the dense jungle, here their sharp claws allow them to climb the trees easily, and they are able to make a life for themselves in the trees, out of reach of most predators that would otherwise have them as a part of their meal plan.   In most human civilizations they are tolerated as traveling merchants and cheap labor, and due to their small and weak size, they are also often taken as slaves by both humans and ravagers alike. Koblites resent their statues as a lesser race, and they will often band together to free themselves, and then flee into the forests or mountains.

Cuisine

Their exact cuisine greatly differs per region, but all koblites love dried fruits and roasted nuts, which are their native food. They also eat a lot of insects, an easy protein rich food source that they consider to be a great delicacy, especially fried in butter and salt.
Example of a Koblite girl:

Clothing

They have a love of flowery, and shiny jewelry, often made of pearls and dried flowers, for the women, both commonly wear shiny metal, such as silver or gold, the men might have it decorated with animal teeth, trophies taken from hunted prey, and signs of their prowess I battle.
As for actual clothing, they most commonly wear rough linens, painted in various colors they can make with natural dyes from flowers.

Magic

Koblites can do magic in the same way as any other sentient race, and they generally use this to their advantage, as they need anything they can get in this world of giants.

Faith

The koblites follow many Velen, but the most popular among them is  Aretmi , the one who rewards the hunt, although Ahnua, the one who creates, is a close second.
