The Celtic tribes

The Western Tribes

The Celts are the most widespread peoples of the West, their warrior spirits and dedication to Karoush have made them true conquerors, and they often invade settled peoples, becoming their new overlord, or raiding and plundering them into the ground. Their unifying qualities are that of red and brown hair, and their custom of growing out fabulous mustaches.

Lifestyle

While they to travel around, they are a settled people who live in small tribal villages, they grow various crops, namely vegetables, they also keep various animals, their favorite being swine, and chickens. They live in tribal communities, with each tribal chief ruling over several, or many, different villages. Their lives are fairly mobile, and it is not uncommon for them to move to a new area if the harvests are bad, or if they are attacked by other tribes.

Diversity

In their eternal search for the best farmland, the celts have spread far and wide, fro the Atlantic all the way to the black sea, they can be divided into several large groups.   There are the dogger celts, those living on the dogger plain, they are some of the most populous of them all, as their lands are the most fertile, this has also made them the most vigilant of them all, as their lands are often attacked by other tribes, who envy them their fertile plains.   Then there are the northern Celts, those who live in the mountains north of the Dogger Plain, in these highlands, they developed their own lifestyle. They are known for their body paint and their many shamans. They take religious zeal very seriously, and they will often fight naked, not only to keep cool, but also to show their strength, as they can fight and win even without wearing so much as a boot.   The Iberian Celts are the most unified of them all, frequently consolidating themselves into one or more large tribal kingdoms, however, they have not yet managed to take over the entire Iberian peninsula, as much of the Mediterranean coast is still inhabited by other native tribes.   The forest Celts inhabit the vast forest north of the Alps, these lands are sparsely populated and not particularly friendly to life, as these lands are commonly raided by both Ravagers, and the Germanic tribes to the north, this is also why there are only a few large tribes here, although they have not yet really formed tribal kingdoms.   The last major group of Celtic tribes are the Carpathian tribes, they are mostly southern-oriented, and frequently invade the peoples living south of the Danube, as well as trading with the Agean nations.

Coexistence

These groups have formed their own culture over the years, even tho at heart they are one people, they will still fight with each other al lot, the only exception being the Iberian Celts, who fight more with the other Iberians. The forest Celts often raid and invade the Dogger Plain, and even the Carpathian basin, as this is a way of life for them, to raid and be raided is as common as cold where they live.

Religion

All of the Celtic people follow Karoush, as his sword smites their enemies to the ground, and his battle cry gives them the strength to keep going on. They follow him by fighting the good fight, and their skill in battle is unmatched by any they meet, as Karoush has made them the most formidable of opponents. Strength and courage, honor and valor. These are the values of Karoush, and these are the values the Celts embody.

Everything Wrong in the World

According the any Celt living near the germanic tribes, those people are just the absolute worst, they steal your food, your wives, and even your pig. They just have absolutely no sense of honor, decency, or respect.   Needless to say, relations between the Celts and germanic peoples are not great.

Battle

The Celts are capable of fighting with anything that even looks like a weapon, whether it's a club, an axe, or a sword, it makes no difference when you smash it against someone's face, and that is the Celtic battle philosophy.

Marriage

Celts are semi polygamous, most men will only marry one wife, as most men will marry for love, and can't convince women to share them. But any man of higher status will take as many wives as he wants.

Magic

The Celts are fine with magic users, although the skill isn't common among them. They see mages as powerful figures of myth and legend, who shape the course of history.
