Champions of Light
In the dim shadows of societal acceptance, the Holy Order of Killian's Cross emerged as an occult group with a singular purposeāto cleanse the world of darkness and expel what they consider malevolent beings. Outlawed in most corners of the world, their extreme practices, including the banned worship of the Ynue Killian, marked them as renegades on a perilous path.
They are a nomadic order, but they have many shrines and chapels all over the world, despite their outlawed status they are often tolerated, due to their ability to heal people, and cure dark aflictions, that might otherwise be fatal.
However, they also practice the burning of the impure and wicked, a practice rooted in a radical belief system. To the Order, these acts were necessary for the purging of darkness, a stark and intense method of seeking salvation.
But whenever someone goes up in flames over what others may consider trivial, and they once again fall out of favour with the general population, their people might be hanged, and they shrines and chapels often go up in flames.
The intricate politics among the masters of the Order are often laid bare during the selection of a new grandmaster. Challenges, debates, and power struggles among them mark this process, offering a glimpse into the nuanced dynamics at play within their secretive ranks.
