The Serpent Strait

Sea of Serpents

The narrow sea between the nation of Enyanin, and Trianmye, the homeland of the island elves, is often referred to as the serpant sea, and the most narrow part, the serpant strait. It gets its name from the many serpents that inhabit these waters, especially near the coasts.

Trade

This strait gains further significance by its important position as the corridor between the east, and the west, connecting the white sea to the Enyanian sea, which further connects to the yenoan ocean. This important function as a busy trade route makes it a vital control point for anyone who wants to control trade.   Historically Enyanin has always had the closest port to the strait, but the island elves were not far off, and the Westerners never quite seemed to make the cut, which has always frustrated them greatly, and contributed to their push to control the mouth of the marn river, another important strategic trade hub under the control of the Enyanians.
