Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.Call of the Grave. As an action, you can use your Channel Divinity to imbue negative energy into mortal remains, creating a temporary undead servant. Choose a pile of bones or a corpse of a Small or Medium humanoid within 30 feet of you. The target becomes a skeleton if you chose bones or a zombie if you chose a corpse; the DM has the creature's game statistics, except its hit points are equal to three times your paladin level. The creature is under your control, acting on your turn and obeying your verbal commands (no action required). After 10 minutes, or when it drops to 0 hit points, the magic animating the creature fades, and it reverts into its original form. Control Undead. As an action, you can use your Channel Divinity and target one undead creature you can see within 30 feet. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target must obey your commands for the next 24 hours, or until you use this Channel Divinity option again. On a successful save, the target is immune to this feature for the next 24 hours. An undead whose challenge rating is equal to or greater than your level is immune to this effect.
Aura of Binding
At 7th level, you become suffused with negative energy, lending you and your undead allies great strength. You, and all undead you control within 10 feet of you, add extra necrotic damage to damage dealt by melee weapon attacks equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1), and have advantage on saving throws against features that turn undead. At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.Embrace of the Grave
Starting at 15th level, you are granted a semblance of unlife as your connection with it deepens, sustaining your form and freeing you from mortal troubles like food and water. You age only 1 year for every 10 years that passes, you no longer need to eat, drink, breathe or sleep, and you cannot gain exhaustion from environmental conditions or forced marches. Instead of sleeping during a long rest, you can perform light activities such as reading and keeping watch.Avatar of Death
At 20th level, you can over channel negative energy, causing it to emanate from your body and dark radiance to pour from your eyes and mouth. Using your action, you undergo a transformation. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:- Any enemy creature that starts its turn in your Aura of Binding is withered by the intense energies, taking 2d6 necrotic damage. Undead you control in your Aura of Binding can Dash, Disengage or Help as a bonus action.
- As a bonus action, you can coalesce a ghoul (Monster Manual pg. 148) from pure negative energies, summoning it into an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you. The ghoul can act immediately, and follows your mental commands (no action required). At the start of your next turn, it disappears, dissipating back into your Aura of Binding
