Stray Cat

Kind to Critters

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, your life has been spent in the overlooked parts of society and as such your closest friends are the small creatures that inhabit this environment. You gain proficiency with the Animal Handling skill.

Stray Cats Secret

Starting at 3rd level, you can, as an action, transform into your stray form as per the rules of a druids Wild Shape feature. Your stray form can be a cat, rat, dog, lizard, or other creatures known to scavenge in cities that your DM approves of that don't have a flight speed. Your secret method transformation afford you the following benefits;
  • Your Stray Form has hit points equal to four times your rouge level and a AC of 12 + your Dexterity modifier.
  • Your Stray Form has a superior darkvision up to 120ft.
  • Your Stray Form's attacks count as finesse weapons and deal 1d6 damage.
  • As a bonus action, you can shift your Stray Forms size from tiny to large or any size in-between.
  • You can use your Cunning Actions feature while in Stray Form.
You can use this feature twice per long rest.

Crossing their Path

Additionally at 3rd level, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, the next time creature makes an attack roll or saving throw you can, as a reaction, roll 1d4 and subtract the roll from their roll. If you are in your Stray Form you can do this as long as you are within 10ft of the creature.   You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier and regain all uses of this feature after finishing a short rest. The die increases to 1d6 when you reach 12th level in this class.

Alleyway Magic

At 9th level, as you learn more of the secrets of the trickster you have gained control over a small portion of natural magic. You can cast animal friendship at will, but you can target creatures you can turn into using your Stray Cats Secret feature. You use your Wisdom modifier as your spell casting ability for this feature.   Additionally, your Stray Forms claws count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance to non-magical slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage.

Yellow eyes in the Darkness

At 13th level, your eye permanently change to that of a cats. You can see through magical darkness. Additionally, you can use your Stray Cats Secret feature as a bonus action and can transform into a crow or other creatures that have a flight speed that your DM approves.

Nine Lives

At 17th level, you have learned the ultimate secret of the strays, the ability to persist past even death. When you are killed your body begins to regenerate over the course of the next 1d10 days regardless of its condition and your soul remains on the Material Plane. After this time has past your soul returns to your body and you awaken as if you has just finished a long rest. You can use this feature a total of 9 times. If you are revived through magical means before this time is up you don't expend a use of this feature.
