Ordologium, Primus' Blessing

The Rank of Law and Order in Mechanus

General Info

Deviant Modrons

In the outer plane of Mechanus, Law, and order abound in the form of finely tuned and massive machinery, but that does not mean it is without its glitches. In Mechanus, there is a very rare thing that can happen: a mistake can be made. Yes, although it is assumed that the ever-turning and working nature of Mechanus is flawless, no machine is truly ever perfect. These mistakes, usually in the form of deviant Modrons, are called Quirks and will actively work against all of Mechanus, trying to destroy this massive collection of cogs and wheels which we call a plane.

The Purpose of the Ordologium

To combat these Quirks, Primus created the Ordologium, mechanical Quirk hunters whose sole purpose is to hunt down and destroy deviant Modrons. In the form of massive clockwork monstrosities, the elite Ordologium scours Mechanus for deviant Modrons, and destroys them; However, Quirks are not the only things that the Ordologium end up setting their sights on. A chaotic visitor to Mechanus may be perceived as a threat to Mechanus by the Ordologium, causing Mechanus to become a very dangerous place for chaotic good, chaotic neutral, or chaotic evil adventurers. The Ordologium appear to be mechanical beasts, but when they are about to disassemble their prey, they fold out into a grinding mess of gears and sawblades meant to tear apart and disassemble any Quirk and deviant Modron.

Being Granted the Rank of Ordologium

The rank of Ordologium is not limited to machines, either. If an outsider were to save Mechanus from utter disaster or doom, Primus could grant them the honorary status of Ordologium. With this rank, the outsider would be given the duty of protecting law and order throughout all of Gearva and the Wraith Globe.
