The Myth of The Lost Lord and The Deck of Many Things

The Downfall of Khraura, the Lord of Chaos

The Deck of Many Things is one of the most powerful and chaotic artifacts in all of The Wraith Globe, but its true origins are still a mystery. Of course, this has not stopped many from theorizing where these cards came from. One of the most powerful myths about the origin story of The Deck of Many Things involves a Lord who has been lost to time and is now just a myth himself: The Lord of Chaos, Khraura. Khraura is believed to have been one of the Lower Lords under Viabaas, but that does not mean that Khraura did not have his own plans. He created The Deck of Many Things as a "gift" to the Finite Races, hoping that the Finite Races would then turn against the other Lords, causing a cataclysmic war. From there, he would wipe out the Finite Races with the very power he provided them and rule the Wraith Globe with an iron fist. However, the other Lords caught wind of Khraura's mischievous plan and banished him to the Far Realm before his dream could become a reality. It is said that Khraura produced hundreds of Decks of Many Things, but only one was able to escape the holy rage of Viabaas and the other Lords. With the last of his power, Khraura scattered the 35 cards of the last Deck of Many Things throughout all of Gearva, hoping that one day, a chaotic member of the Finite Races so much like Khraura himself would assemble the deck and wreak havoc upon all of The Wraith Globe. Perhaps, that individual may have even already started their quest to reunite the many pieces of The Deck of Many Things...
