"The material plane is a broken world. Since the first war between the Finite Races and the collapse of Obron, we have been a scattered people. The time has come for us to no longer be the Finite Races, and instead become a singular Finite Race: one people. If magic is not widely accepted throughout all of the world, do you expect all people, spellcasters and non-spellcasters alike, to be treated equal? No! We must make this world a one where magic is unanimously approved upon as a tool for good!"
- Words from a Rally of the Underground Mages of Kragzbarg
General Info
Khazan being a magic-free nation is a widely known fact, but with such an extreme stipulation on the general populous, there is sure to be those who oppose it. This is where The Underground Mages of Kragzbarg come into the picture. Their numbers and assets are unknown, but what is known is that they will do anything to legalize magic throughout all of Khazan. Of course, this does not mean that this underground of magic-users and non-magic users alike will always take a violent approach to their problems. On the contrary, most of the demonstrations and protesting was done by the non-magic users of the group are completely peaceful; However, this does not mean that the Khazanian government accepts the beliefs of the underground.
Opposition from the Government
The Khazanian Ruling Council and the majority of smaller leaders throughout Khazan resist the Underground. They actively oppose what they call the "extremist beliefs of a selfish group of citizens", and claim that legalizing magic in Khazan would bankrupt the country, nullifying the non-magic user warriors and non-magic tournaments of Khazan that sustain the desert nation's infrastructure.
Dispersion and headquarters
Contrary to their name, the Underground Mages of Khazan is not a group exclusive to Khazan capitol of
Kragzbarg . Members of the underground are scattered throughout all of Khazan and even
Ban-Rock-Buren. The headquarters of the underground is allegedly located in Kragzbarg, but the government has never been able to pinpoint the exact location, disallowing the possibility of a covert strike against the Underground. Some say that the Underground's headquarters is magically concealed and teleports through the city every few days, but this has never been confirmed by reliable sources.
