The Uses of Salt in The Wraith Globe
Salt has some strange household uses in The Wraith Globe. Other than being used on food as a popular seasoning, salt is also used in many cultures as a warding device to keep wraiths and spectres away. Holy water has these same properties, but salt acts as the dirt-cheap version of holy water in this fashion. Salt is also commonly used as a material component for magical spells, so salt is a common object in almost every household for a multitude of reasons. The origin of this evil spirit warding usage has been lost to time like many other cultural norms and practices, but it is believed that the reason for this usage most likely revolves around historical burial rituals, where a line of salt was put around a graveyard weekly to prevent the peaceful ghosts of the deceased from being attacked by rogue Wraith and Spectres. However, some say that this causes the opposite effect, not allowing the recently deceased spirits to escape into the rest of the world, and are forever trapped in a singular tiny graveyard.

It is said by professionals that if you mix a slight amount of Bloodstone powder with salt which you use to ward off Wraith and Spectres, it will increase the efficiency of the salt in warding off evil Wraiths and Spectres. However, this rumor has not been confirmed, and it seems as if this idea is simply a rumor: nothing more, and most of all, not true.
