The College of Koxorth
Purpose / Function
The College of Koxorth was built out of the ruins of Old Castle Fairae. It was the pride and joy of the royals , who decorated the halls with large tapestries and fine arts. After the civil war in Rhoddneff, the destroyed fortress was remodeled to fit a more academic atmosphere.
Alterations
Not much was changed in the castle when Alzadarin Koxorth bought the place for his school. Most of his time went into rebuilding what had been destroyed in the ransacking of the castle, and the addition of an observatory. Many of the bedrooms were repurposed to class rooms, while the servants courters served as new dorm rooms. The libary was updated and filled with more shelves and less statues/plants.
Architecture
Old Castle Faire had been built out of a pale stone with decorative blue pillers set on their corners. When Koxorth rebulit the building, he felt inspired by the Battle of Bloodied Peacocks and had all the old stone repainted to a brick red. (Many believe this was done out of poor taste). The Architecture is very reminesint of an old french castle *insert photo*
History
Originally built by the Fairae family, the castle stood on the northern edge of the city of Estermery. As it was built to be the jewel of the city, the Fairae's did not want it's beauty to be clouded by a wall, so they contened themselves with a laughable moat around its fortress. For many generations, this castle delighted all that guested its walls but when the Civil War of Rhoddneff broke across the country, many of the nobles campaigned for a wall or fortitude to be built for protection but were shut down as that would be a sign of weakness to cut themselves off from their peoples. Instead the Fairae family started on a large wall on the Southern border builting closer north.
In the Battle of Bloodied Peacocks, the Basin warriors ransacked the castle, destroying every piece of beauty that once existed. Eye witnesses of the day recount that blood spilled out of the holes in the bricks painting the building in a red hue. By sunset, all that stood of Old Castle Fairae was its red stone and billowing smoke.
After the war was completed, the Fairae family was gifted the funds to build a new castle on the south eastern walls of Estermery. Looking to pawn off their old fortress,
