The Conflict

Prelude

The First Battle of Kirkwall was an engagement between the city of Kirkwall - which included the Kirkwall City Guard, the Hawke Twins, the local chapter of the Templar Order, and the Circle of Magi from the Kirkwall Gallows - against the invading forces of stranded Qunari in the year 9:34 Dragon. The invasion ended with the Qunari retreating to Par Vollen, following the death of Viscount Dumar and the intervention of Garrett Hawke and Marian Hawke, who were subsequently declared the Champions of Kirkwall.
