"The Proud Fight"
"Dragons in the sky, the fighting has begun
Ferelden versus foe, and who will stand when it is done?
Magisters and fright, our destiny it calls
Andraste your word will reprimand before their's falls! Now are the days of wine and gilded arms.
Now are the days when freedom is once more.
Alamarri sing, the evil is no more
Once and for all, we close the darkened door. Peril in their eyes, the battle has begun
Death becomes the ashes of the evils yet to come. Now are the days of wine and gilded arms.
Now are the days when freedom is once more.
Alamarri sing, the evil is no more
Once and for all, victory is ours. Dragon in the sky, the fighting has begun
Ferelden versus foe, and who will stand when it is done?
All across the land, our destiny it calls
Calenhad will see us win the war. Now are the days of wine and gilded arms.
Now are the days when freedom is once more.
Alamarri sing, joy in their hearts
Once and for all, the River Dane was won. Now are the days of wine and gilded arms.
Now are the days when freedom is once more."
Fereldens take great pride in their history, and this song is a reflection of that. It mentions two of their most colorful victories: the first from the First Exalted March alongside Andraste while the second is about their victory during the Ferelden Rebellions. It was written for the one year anniversary of Ferelden becoming its own independent nation as well as Calenhad Theirin's kingship.
