Faerran
Faerran commonly referred to as "The Wildlands" is a land devided into four parts.
Far north lies Azil-Modrah (Motherland). A large gloomy forest that is home to Elves and Fey beeings. While the Elves of Azil-Modrah are a peaceful race the Fey very much are not. Stories of their cruel and mischievous nature has kept all but the bravest invadors at bay. And these days there isn't much to invade left anyways. Around 800 years ago the forest slowly started dying and the once great elvish kigdom of Elveyrsil has fallen to ruin. Now all that's left are a few bitter and mistrusting elvish communes and the fey who hold court deep within the slowly withering woods.
The central part of Faerran is known as the Uruk plains. Endless fields of dry grass ruled by the Zebra riding Slaugh. A tribe of orcish warriors who have tried many times to invade the northern forest. Thus far unsuccessfully.
The Othiru, their blue skinned counterparts at the Eastern coast, get by without constantly waging war. Instead they live a mostly peaceful life as fishermen and sailors.
They are the only major trading partner one may find in the wildlands.
South of the plains are the Ard Corragan Highlands. Tall mountains of brown stone with little to no vegetation to the west and flat rocky plateaus scarred by huge ravines to the east. Only a few Goliath and Birdfolk clans live in these harsh lands, constantly fighting for the small bits of food they can find.
South of Faerrans main body lies a massive desert island covered by bone white sands. The Ivory desert is one of Theias great mysteries for upon closer inspection one will find that the white grains are not sand at all. Noone knows where this much ground up bone might have come from, most don't even dare to ask. However the ground isn't the only fascinating thing about the Ivory Desert, it is also home to three Maidentrees that stand tall over the white dunes. In their shade tribes of Loxodon and other beastfolk have build small settlements. They often receive visitors from the Highlands to the north as it is tradition within Goliath culture that a new chieftain has to march through the desert to one of the trees and carve a bow from one of its fallen branches. Only then will they be accepted as a leader to their people.
