The God-king
Around 400 years ago a mysterious figure emerged on Cerys. They quickly gained influence and power and within ten years of their first appearance, they were named to the Stellarin Council.
Another ten years later the council was disbanded and Cerys was transformed into a monarchy with this new king as a sole ruler.
The following decade saw several small rebellions that were usually dealt with quickly but the voices of opposition became stronger with each one. Especially since the king had thus far failed to stop the wave of frost that was still slowly encroaching from the north and threatened to reach the sacred Maidentree soon.
Then in the year 947ps everything changed. When the king performed a miracle like ritual that tethered the red moon Ithu to his palace, the voices of the doubters, opposers and rebells instantly fell silent.
Although they did not yet understand why, this display of god-like power secured the kings status beyond any doubt. Soon after, when it became clear that this ritual had somehow stopped the encroaching frost, the people of Cerys began to worship their king like a true god. With the evidence of his unfathomable power now looming over the continent noone would dare question the kings absolute sovereignty.
