Welcome to Theras. A world scarred by war, but recovering. It has been six years since the Daemon Lord Blackblade was defeated by the newly revived Old God, Ormagoden. The Daemon Lord cut a swathe across the world, laying waste to the kingdoms of the Sylvan Elves, isolating The Avrasi and sacking the Solarien Alliance. His war machine of Blackthorne military expertise empowered by daemonic might seemed unstoppable. It was only stopped by the desperate and controversial release of divine power, cutting off the closest land route to Avras with an enormous gorge in the earth, an act that caused large scale collateral damage. The Daemon host continued east, killing and burning as they went, and while the desert held them back for a time, when there was nothing else to conquer they began to move through the plains and deserts of the Leonin Frontier, their daemon blood tainting the ground they walked on, ensuring the land could not sustain life.   Fortunately for the Avrasi, the Daemon king was slain by the reawakening of the Old God Ormagoden, causing the daemons to lose their grip on our reality and the Blackthorne forces to disperse. Although the Daemonhost never stepped foot on Avrasi soil, its warpath has had a devastating effect on the region. The Leonin wanderers, their territory tainted, have been pushing into Avrasi lands, causing the eastern peninsula of Avras to suffer, while the west has remained relatively unscathed, causing much friction between city states.   But now, disaster has struck Avras City. Queen Elysia has been kidnapped. Between the military losses in war and rising tensions between city states, the military cannot spare men to hunt down her captors. The Divine have been consulted and their omens read. It is you adventurers that have been chosen to retrieve the queen as the gods have decreed, and for you, failure is not an option.
