Obsidian Bridge

The Huoshuiqiao ( Drow: The bridge over flowing fire), popularly known as Obsidian bridge is the biggest of the four lengthy bridges over the rivers of lava that are seperating the lands of the four clans of A'shiraf'sir.

History

The four bridges were built between 7500 BB and 7000 BB by two consecutive Zaketria sovereigns. The bridge connects between the lands of Clan Fygy and Clan Ka'jesh.

Structure

The bridge length is not known as it seems to shorten every few years , yet its width is of 73ft. Every two dozen feet, a set of three linear beams, girders and piers that act like trusses lift the bridge up.
Actually, the bridge is most likely a combination of multiple sections of smaller bridges jointed togethter

Although the greater parts of the written instructions of the bridge have been lost to time, two illustrations have been found and are curated by the western quarries, depicting the creation of the beams that are layed inside the lava rivers, that are holding the bridge afloat, as obsidian shafts sunk repeatdly into lava and then immersed in water.

Uses

The bridge used to be the most important inner trading routes for centuries, and because of its popularity, grand acts of larceny occured on the bridge, what led to it also being a place of execution by drowning in lava, as iron chains were binding the suspects of theft, and hurled down over the burning fumes of the river.
