Persana (pur-SAN-uh)

Persana, revered as the creator-god among the tritons, remains shrouded in mystery to many beyond their race. Those acquainted with him often perceive him as a deity associated solely with construction and guardianship, a perception cultivated by the enigmatic aura that surrounds both Persana and his triton devotees. Within the Asathalfinare pantheon, an assembly of benevolent aquatic deities, Persana holds a significant position.
Myths and legends
According to lore, Persana is credited with the formation of the triton race, fashioned from magically treated water drawn from a fountain situated within the Elemental Plane of Water.

Clergy, Temples and Worshippers

The tritons, akin to the ixitxachitl, constituted a fully theocratic society. Nearly all members maintained a link to Persana's religious domain, with numerous underwater cities erected in his honor by devout followers. Persana's clergy exhibited a willingness to assist adherents of diverse beliefs, a sentiment shared by the deity himself, provided such collaboration proved advantageous to the triton community.   Within triton culture, priests fulfilled multifaceted roles, serving as arbiters of justice in legal proceedings, masterminds behind the construction of subaquatic metropolises, and commanders on the battlefield. Among these roles, architects and builders occupied the highest echelons of societal esteem.

Tenets of Faith

Persana cares little for anything but the development of his chosen people.

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

Persana manifests as a towering, 10-foot-tall triton with emerald-hued skin and a robust physique. Adorned with a distinctive lark pink and green conch, he dons armor crafted from sharkskin and wields a potent magical trident.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Persana readily collaborates with other sea deities to negotiate territorial divisions for the somewhat insular tritons. As a member of the Asathalfinare, he engages in such agreements. He willingly serves as a proxy for more powerful sea deities if he deems it beneficial for his people.
