The Heatsink

The Heatsink, or simply Heatsink, is a well guarded cave in the Lowerdark which serves as a prison for Kacukasnyz. The Heatsink is maintained, operated, and guarded by paladins of the Order of the First Light.

The great wyrm locked within the vault, one of the oldest and most powerful dragons in recorded history, causes the temperatures to plummet well below freezing, lending to the name "heatsink". Three tubes of magma constantly pour over the entry cave, and two more over the vault door. These tubes quickly freeze over, and require constant maintenance to prevent them from clogging.
