Zana jro Clan
The Zana jro Clan, also known as the Stonebreaker Clan, is the name of 13th clan of Khazad-Ram.
This name also reflect a deeper meaning: The Clan's lower status and the fact that they have broken away from the traditional caste system. It also suggests a sense of resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
All Dwarves who are 'cast' aside, for a great sin, crime or shame, become immediately clanless.
The dwarven social structure of Khazad-Ram is a complex and rigid caste system that is interrelated. The lowest rung of the clan system is occupied by the Zana Jro, also known as "Stonebreakers," who are outcasts in their own city. They are unable to take up work among the higher clans, defend their honor in the courts, and are rejected by all respected dwarves.
