Mortal Life

Amaya lived a childhood in chains, alongside many other slaves in the Hold. She learned her letters from Sona, and grew into a strong adult. Seeing her potential, her owners sent her into the gladiatorial pits. There, Amaya’s potential shone, and she fought her way to the top of the arena, and earned her freedom.

She took her freedom, her strength, and the armor she had been given in the pits, and left the Hold behind her. She joined the Exalted in Lowboar, and traveled into the Shaded Grove, and stood before the Divinity. But she left the Exalted behind and returned to the Hold, where she found the High Lord to be the most progressive orcish ruler in a century. She saved him from an assassination attempt, and thereafter continued protecting the Hold, and trying to guide it where she could. In time, her influence in the Hold grew, allowing her to fight back directly against slavery. It is a matter of public record that she declined the High Lord's offer of marriage.
