The group rolls southward toward Odysia in the Malchus-mobile(tm) to try and stop the Order of the Scale and their attempt to resurrect Straad.

29th of Fara'ure

Outside of the city, Mr. Paige stops the carriage to cast a spell and spy on the cult's progress. They stand in the city center near Straad's bones, ready to perform the ritual that would bring him back to Theria.

Sensing urgency, the party runs toward the city but split the group. Ember, Kendara and Aralove ducking through the buildings, while Malchus, Vallus and Mr. Paige approach the Order.

Malchus approaches the leader and demands they halt their plans and drop their weapons or face the consequences. Jonathan Haynes, the cultist in charge refuses of course. After some intimidating words by Malchus, the Order moves into defensive positions and as they do, Kendara strikes from the bushes, killing Jonathan.

Fearing they may have run out of time, a cultist, Kevin pulls out the Scroll of Resurrection while the rest prepare to defend him.
The party leaps to action. Kendara drops another cultist, Satin.
Da'ave attacks Malchus but fails.
Vallus grabs Kaille with the Kettenhund and reels him in closer for a finishing blow.
Edmund and Aralove try to take down Kevin and manage to stun him before he can read the scroll.
Ember, enraged by the situation, approaches Zimmimmimix (Z'ooboomafoo to his friends) who is now pleading with Malchus to let them continue and kills him swiftly from behind. She picks up the scroll, signaling the beginning of the end for the cult.

While their plans quickly fall apart, Da'ave pleads for mercy and the Order surrenders their fate to the party. A still-stunned Kevin is healed and all are lashed together and to the cart for transport back to Esterholt.
