Heiland Sea
Geography
The Heiland Sea sits in the middle of the Hei tectonic plate. The plate pushes north which forms the mountainous backbone of Heiland, this also makes cracks in the plate itself where lava comes out. You can see this in the various island chains that crisscross the sea. The Heiland sea is one of the most geographically active areas in the world, the region is plagued with earthquakes, tsunamis and frequent underwater lava flow.
The average depth of the Heiland Sea is 1,200 m (3,937 ft) with a maximum depth of 4,172 m (13,687 ft).
Natural Resources
Large reserves of natural gas and oil have been found underground in the Heiland Sea.
