Duchess of Dunkirk Catherine Eledinn

Second cousin to King Darian, and Duchess of Dunkirk, Catherine Eledinn is a powerful woman. She was raised in the wake of the Revolution of the Four Princes in a city where defense was always a top priority. She was gifted as a child with the power of fire magic, and graduated with honors from Elchryst's prestigious Academy of Magic.
Catherine was charged with the responsibility of defending and leading the Dunkirk region of Anestor at just sixteen years old. Her parents were unfortunately killed by a particularly potent plague. Anestor was a new country. When these lands were still called Giefland, the territory would fall to the next male heir in line, however, Catherine's parents had no sons. Her closest male relative was, in fact, the king. So, the king made a decision. He would follow the elven way. The eldest child of a titled person, no matter their sex, would inherit their parent's lands and titles, and that decision made Catherine the duchess.
Catherine had her work cut out for her. While Elchryst was a thriving city, the Dunkirk Mountains contained some of Anestor's most dangerous terrain. Because of it's distance from Marcisian guardian stones, it is heavily influenced by extra planar beings. Monsters crop up all the time, and it is on Catherine to ensure that these threats are taken care of before too many people are hurt, and too much property damage takes place.
