Mallora
Queen of Giefland
Mallora was supposedly one of the original elves to land upon the shores of Anestor. Before she fled her home on the moon, Mallora was a priestess, leading her people in the worship of her gods. She was also said to be a seer. She helped lead her people as they adjusted to life on this strange new world. While the elves did lose their immortality when they landed on Anestor, they did not lose it all at once. The first generation still lived to be hundreds of years old. The next generation's life was shorter, as was the next and so on. Mallora herself, was a priestess of the moon. Her life was blessed by her gods, and so it is said that she lived for a very long time, and she spent that time exploring the country. She wanted to learn all about her new land, and the wonders to be found within it.
During her travels, it is said that Astreia went to Mallora. She told Mallora of the humans who occupied the eastern part of the continent. Astreia explained that the humans were clever, creative and ambitious. They were full of life, which Astreia found exciting, but they could also be violent and chaotic. They were constantly fighting each other, much like the titan gods once did. Astreia said that there was one among them who could unite the humans though. There was one human who was destined to save his people.
Mallora was curious about this human man. She was told that he was special, and she wanted to know why. She sought the man out.The human king with the great destiny was of course the greatest human hero of Anestian folk lore, Argus Brightflame. When the two met, they fell in love, and were wed. Mallora helped Argus unite his people, and according to legend, when they grew old, rather than dying, the two retired to the stars, where Mallora hailed from.
Mallora is worshiped by many elves in Anestor. The elves' gods are for the most part forgotten, but Mallora was a beloved child of those gods. She is often considered among her followers as a demigod herself, or at the very least, the last known connection the elves have to their gods. They pray to her in the hopes that she will pass their prayers along to the long forgotten gods.
