The Treaty of the Gods
Three giant-sized swords were plunged into the earth outside of the modern city of Elchryst long before Golaran led the pilgrims into the Dunkirk Mountains. A pillar of light shines at the center. It is not known for certain who the swords could have belonged to, but they are scarred with the evidence of battle. According to myth, the gods plunged their swords here, signifying the end of their war. Due to the sheer size of the swords, it is assumed that whoever they belonged to had to have been titan sized.
The tallest of the swords is marked with the iconography of Tarak, the Mountain king, son of the Earth Mother, and one of her lovers, Vorus, the god of thunder and storms. It is because of this iconography, Tarak has been adopted as the patron god of Elchryst. The dwarves of Canebras believed this to be a good sign, as Tarak was their patron goddess's son, and a well respected god in his own right in Canebras.
As for the other two swords, scholar's dispute who they could belong to. Some claim that they are the brother and sister of Tarak: Feadon and Elsa. Others attribute the swords to titan gods such as Ippotis or Volcanalis. Still, others don't believe the swords are real at all, but rather artistic representations, but if that is the case, how could a man build something at such a scale before civilization reached the valley, and more curiously, what was the purpose.
