Shattered Isles

The Shattered Isles are an archipelago in the (insert ocean name) formed during The Mishanter. Formerly the southern tip of the continent of Rhyallias the islands were created by the Sacrifice of (Insert name here). During The Mishanter, (insert name) a priestess of (instert name) cast a temporal protection ritual that slowed time, eventually shifting the region out of phase with the rest of Therrmordia. The strain of this shift shattered the land apart and the sea flowed into the gaps, creating the current pattern of small isles. The slowed time effect allowed survivors  from both the invading elvish and defending human armies to avoid collapsing areas and congregate on the stable isles. While the isles would return into phase with Therrmordia, the slowed time effects meant that none of the original survivors remained alive, even among the long lived elves.
