Galegenides, the Phantom Eye

Galegenides (/geɪlgɛnɪdiːs/) is one of the six draconic demigods of Thesilae. He was created by Lanush to be a companion to the Death Spectre Nondra.

History

The Age of Dawn

Galegenides was born during the Age of Dawn, shortly after the mortal death of Nondra. He was created specifically for Nondra when she agreed to become the first Death Spectre of Thesilae, and thereby pledged herself into Lanush's service for all of eternity.

Description

Appearance

Galegenides is an elder wyrmwraith protected by the divine magics granted to him by Lanush, which prevents his undeath from spreading across Thesilae. He appears mostly skeletal, with the burning ember of an Ethereal soul in his chest. His wings have the tattered remains of draconic flesh on them, but their tears do not prevent him from flying as well as any living dragon.

Personality

Much like his dragonrider companion, Galegenides is a silent and stoic creature. The stories which mention him describe Galegenides as alternating between "kind-eyed" and "judgemental" depending on the deeds of the soul which he is peering into.
