Battle of Eilia

A battle that happened in orbit of Eilia during the suon-saelian war.
The Battle of Eilia happened at the closing period of the Battle of Tiact. Before the battle of Eilia, the Saelian Coalition occupied Eilia. The United Nations of Tebburus wanted to occupy the entire Tiact system, which made this battle highly important despite the low value of Eilia (it is mostly ice and is very uninhabitable). The Suons started the battle with artillery delivered from several battleships in extremely high orbits. The enemy responded despite being outside of effective range, so suon carriers started deploying drones and Tachyon Cannons were fired in attempts to destroy some of the stations. Enemy lasers countered most of the drones but it did weaken enemy defences enough for a heavy armoured force to attack. Some enemy battleships survived, and the suons had to retreat, but it was weakened further.
The suon forces received reinforcements from Tieter, about 1 month after the battle began. The Saelians could never recieve reinforcements at this stage because they only occupied lower orbits and the suons completely surrounded them in many very high orbits. Using this advantage, they waged a battle of attrition using tachyon cannons, drones and artillery. Of course the saelians attempted similar but with fewer supplies and a notable lack of tachyon cannons, but have earned a number of kills nonetheless. The battle of attrition absolutely devastated the saelian forces, weakening them enough for an actual invasion for the last time in the battle of Tiact. Exept for various dwarf planets in very large orbits from the star.
