Bitlosian

Ethnicity of Saelians from the continent of Bitlos located on planet Cela.
The Bitlosian continent is the only continent on the planet which has evolved primarily purple life. This happened due to the unique chemical makeup of the continent, which presumably (this theory is still under investigation) happened due to the continent being formed by a very large meteor from billions of years ago. Although most continents of Cela once formed a single massive supercontinent, allowing the saelian species to spread through the entire land mass of the world, those who decided to live on Bitlos started getting purple skin over the generations due to the strange chemical makeup of the local life, which caused them to form slightly more purple pigment on their skin.
In far more recent times, the Bitlosian ethnicity made contact with the rest of the world. Many of them believed they were the superior race as they were the only purple continent. Althuogh they were the world superpower at one point and attempted global conquest, these attempts mostly failed. However, they soon realised they would need to cooperate with the rest of the saelian race when Cela would shift to its higher orbit and become very cold. They were forced to perform somewhat extensive genetic modifications on their own species which gave them the cold resistance they are now known to have.
Although Bitlos wanted to conquer the globe, there would no longer be enough room for war.
