Cybernetic Enhancements

The Hyperion Federation, being made of so many different alien species that each evolved in extremely different environments, needed a way to make such diverse environments survivable to any race. Significant factors that need to be corrected include:

Atmosphere composition and density

Temperature and how widely it varies

Surface gravitation

Matter manipulating nanobots, similar to those used in Replicators, can be used to easily and painlessly construct these cybernetic enhancements within ones' body. Temperature can be varied by using QEN heat vents. Gravity can be made significantly less harmful through the use of strong materials added to the bones. The atmosphere can be made breathable by replacing the biological function of the lungs with nanobots; the nanobots will oxygenate the blood.
