Gel Suit

Spacesuits used by Banfranal to protect them from the extreme conditions of space.
Gel suits are not actually made of gel, but a different highly flexible material. They are named such because they look like gel. This material, however, is not as strong as many other star nation space suits, but for Banfranal, that isn't as big an issue as they can survive in lower pressure environments. The requirement for a very highly versatile suit exists due to the complex anatomy of a Banfranal, and they require a suit that doesn't inhibit mobility.
To get in, they simply coat the person to be deployed with this material, allow it to set, add air tanks, and then they are ready to send. Banfranal are not capable of space propulsion, and must remain near their ships to grab objects to not float off. It also protects them from a lot of ionizing radiation. Most of it is already deflected by the banfranal's own projected magnetic field (that is used for perception), but the remaining radiation would otherwise still be deadly. Because these suits aren't as strong, the TN needs to make repairs to their ships when there is no possibility for enemy attack. They are however most commonly used when the TN needs to repair objects on the hull exterior through EVA missions.
In case it is penetrated, the person can make temporary, token repairs to the suit, but it would be better to re enter the ship immediately. They can repair it by carefully using their movement tentacles to cause the effected area to return to its semi - liquified state and be carefully manipulated shut by the person itself. This seal is rarely as strong as the rest of the suit.
